There are a few questions you want to consider before you start. What do you want to grow in your raised bed? What is the planting depth of the roots for those plants? How deep is your garden box already? 

What can you do with your sawdust? Donate it! One man’s sawdust is another rescue horse’s bedding, or in this case OUR sawdust is another rescue horse’s bedding. Handcrafting raised garden beds in our woodshop creates a lot of sawdust by-product. Bags and bags of it. Naturally we didn’t want to waste it or burn it and that’s when we found Mile High Equestrian and Rescue. 

Cedar is hands down the best material for raised garden boxes. Bold statement I know, but it’s true and here’s why.
